Michael Gelber is CEO and Chairman of the Board for IWorld of Travel (formerly Isramworld of Travel) a wholesale travel company located in Manhattan, celebrating 50 years in business, servicing travel to 56 countries on 5 continents. I World of Travel was led by Michael’s father for over 30 years, and after his father’s passing last year, Michael accepted the role of taking over the helm to assist with ensuring the company and his father’s legacy will live on for another 50 years, being passed down to the next generations of Gelber’s.
Prior to taking over I World of Travel, Michael served as President of Alexis Ventures and K. Alexis, which owned RailBridge Cellars Winery, Strings Urban Kitchen, RailBridge Cellars & Company and Alexis Catering, a F&B business that operated for over 7 years, prior to Michael selling all the beginning of this year. In addition to this, Michael was also part of the start-up team with Sactown magazine, and prior to that involved in several entrepreneurial enterprises starting at the age of 24, when he owned and expanded one of the first multi-state dating services, having offices in Houston, D.C. and Boston.
Michael was born in Tel-Aviv, and grew up in Southern California. He has an amazing wife who is CFO of Iron Mechanical, and they live in El Dorado Hills with their two beautiful children, Sienna and Nathan. Michael also has 3 children from a previous marriage, daughters Chelsea and Danielle, son Connor, and just became a grandfather to his first grandchild, Dylann Victoria, and is an avid golfer and traveler.
