Summary of Functions:

Responsible for case management of clients participating in 3Strands Global Foundation’s Employ + Empower reintegration program, serving survivors of trafficking and at-risk clients primarily in the Greater Sacramento Region. The Reintegration Social Worker will collaborate with the Reintegration Program Manager and Director of Social Services to ensure that clients who are placed in jobs have access to services for basic needs and behavioral health in order to sustain employment or pursue education.

The mission of 3Strands Global Foundation is to mobilize communities to combat human trafficking through prevention education and reintegration programs. 3Strands Global Foundation provides prevention education training and curriculum in schools designed to help educators and students identify and prevent instances of human trafficking. The non-profit also works with strategic partners to help reintegrate survivors and at-risk individuals back into society through employment and education opportunities. 3Strands Global Foundation also hosts the annual Break Free Run and other awareness events to engage and mobilize individuals, organizations, and communities to stand up against human trafficking.

Specific Job Responsibilities:


  • Provide direct case management to survivors of trafficking and at-risk youth to ensure basic needs and behavioral health needs are met in a timely and culturally appropriate manner for each Employ + Empower program participant, including:

  • Collaborating with the Reintegration Program Manager to facilitate the client intake process and complete a needs assessment for each client;

  • Meeting with clients on a weekly/biweekly basis to coordinate services as needed to assist with basic needs, behavioral health, and other needs that arise to assist clients sustaining the employment and education, including transportation, mental health services, housing, professional clothing, professional certifications, identification documentation, childcare, medical services, social service programs, etc.;

  • Coordinating necessary referrals to partnering agencies and ensuring clients access are able to access services and resources;

  • Collaborate with partner agencies to facilitate the exit plan and next steps for clients after participation in the Employ + Empower program; * Travel in and around the service delivery area (El Dorado, Yolo, Placer, and Sacramento counties) to deliver and coordinate services for clients, accompanying clients to meetings and appointments;

  • Facilitating quantitative pre-and post-surveys and qualitative interviews among clients to monitor their progress in desired program outcomes;

  • Follow the established program process to maintain case file documentation to conform to grant requirements as well as to reflect the needs of the individual client, including the maintenance of clear and concise case notes documenting services provided, ensuring client progress is documented and accurately tracked;

  • Weekly check-ins and reporting to Reintegration Program Manager on client progress;

  • Work alongside the Workforce Development Specialist to ensure appropriate and supportive job placement;

  • Assist with work readiness and financial literacy training for clients as-needed;

  • Identify and document processes to refer clients to high-quality resources and services in the community, based on individually assessed needs. Collaborate with the Reintegration Program Manager to build partnerships with local agencies and service providers, and work to connect clients to available resources; and

  • Assist with the training, onboarding, and supervision of volunteers and interns associated with the program, including field supervision for social work interns from Sacramento State University assisting with client case management.


Program and Administrative Functions:

  • Attend meetings as needed to advance reintegration efforts, including local coalition meetings, events, and trainings;

  • Participate in all program meetings, staff meetings, strategic offsite, and development activities and events, and fully engage as a member of the 3Strands Global Foundation team;

  • Collaborate with Reintegration Program Manager to review and provide input to reintegration program strategic plan and processes;

  • Track time and program expenses and mileage with MileIQ, to ensure accurate budgeting and grant reporting;

  • Assist with grant reporting on program objectives and accomplishments;

  • Work with Reintegration Program Manager and executive staff to serve as a reviewer for strategic reintegration grant applications;

  • Provide referrals to development and program advancement opportunities to Reintegration Program Manager;

  • Collaborate with the Reintegration Program Manager to analyze and report on program survey and interview data;

  • Report on reintegration program client progress for 3Strands Global Foundation quarterly board meetings;

  • Complete reports to submit to The California Department of Rehabilitation reflecting services provided;

  • Complete invoicing as needed;

  • Coordinate with clients to speak on behalf of the reintegration program at 3Strands Global Foundation fundraising events;

  • Support all marketing, community, development, and outreach efforts by supporting the gathering of information and client testimonials and providing input for the creation of presentations and collateral.

  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency; and

  • Other related duties as assigned.


Required Skills:

  • Masters Degree in Social Work;

  • 2+ Years of related professional experience; preferable with vulnerable populations in a social service setting (knowledge of Sacramento County services preferred);

  • Previous case management and/or victims assistance experience;

  • Experience working with victims of human trafficking, transitional age foster youth, homeless youth, victims of neglect or sexual abuse, or other vulnerable populations preferred;

  • Previous multi-cultural experience and demonstrated ability to communicate well with people of varied backgrounds strongly preferred;

  • Prior experience using client data and tracking systems strongly preferred;

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle with current insurance, and the ability to travel regularly through the service area;

  • Must be able to pass a background check and Live Scan fingerprinting;

  • Proven ability to manage and nurture relationships;

  • Solid understanding of the nonprofit sector;

  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment; and

  • Solid understanding of human trafficking, Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children and trauma-informed care.


Desired Skills:

  • Bilingual (language skills in Spanish preferred, but not required);

  • High facility with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Drive, Docs and Sheets;

  • Attention to detail and ability to organize and track large amounts of information efficiently and accurately;

  • Sound judgment, ability to take initiative and provide constructive feedback, and analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • Disciplined with priorities and works well under deadline pressures;

  • Professional presentation in demeanor and written and oral communication;

  • High level of honesty and integrity;

  • Strong computer skills and ability to adapt to new technology;

  • Ability to work in a high ambiguity environment; complete self-starter; and

Working Environment:

  • A combination of a standard office environment, remote work and field time with clients in and around the service delivery area; and

  • May require occasional weekend and/or evening work for 3Strands Global Foundation events.

Implementation Coordinator

PROTECT Prevention Training and Education program

Location: Remote position within the state of Texas; Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth preferred

Salary: $40,000-$45,000 annually with benefits (medical and dental)

At 3Strands Global Foundation, our mission is to mobilize communities to combat human trafficking through prevention education and reintegration programs. We believe that all communities should be provided with trauma-informed education to prevent and report this crime, and coordinated services for those that have been exploited or are at-risk of being trafficked. Our organization has three anti-trafficking initiatives: Education, Employment, and Engagement.



We have an immediate opening for an Implementation Coordinator to join our Education team and be part of the PROTECT Training and Education Program in Texas. Limited travel may be required post-pandemic.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Implementation Coordinator will be responsible for:

●  Assisting the PROTECT Director with implementation projects and program development

●  Managing the Texas training and curriculum modules in PROTECT’s Online System alongside the Senior Program Manager and PROTECT Director

●  Creating and managing accounts for program participants

●  Preparing and maintaining detailed weekly reports on user progress

●  Communicating regularly via email, phone, and videoconferencing with

program participants

●  Outreach to schools, law enforcement, community organizations, and parents about the program

●  Researching and managing information about prospective grants

●  Attending meetings with the 3Strands Global Foundation team, grant

providers, and program partners

●  Participating in professional development opportunities to learn more about

human trafficking, abuse, trauma, and other related subjects
