THEIR STORIES

Leena* is 1 of 118. Leena is a 20-year-old survivor; she had no job or work experience and struggled to provide for her son. She is now finishing her high school diploma and able to give her son a better future. 

“Everything I do is to give my son a better future. I literally would not be here if it weren’t for 3SGF. I could not do any of this without you.”

Trevor* is 1 of 118. Trevor applied to 40 jobs without any success. Because of his past, Trevor felt like he had no future. Today, he is working at the Golden 1 Center and is now building a new life for himself.

Often times, at-risk youth are unable to escape the environment they are born into. We can break this systemic cycle of generational inequality and poverty. Employment creates opportunities for empowerment.

Tucker* is 1 of 118. Tucker is a survivor; he always felt he was unemployable and struggled to believe in himself. Today, he is working full-time at a packaging firm. “I now have a steady income and a future to look forward to.
Dakota*, is 1 of the 11,478 students educated this year on human trafficking prevention. She plays soccer and aspires to be one day be a professional soccer player.
Marissa* is one of the 11,478 students educated this year on human trafficking prevention. She is a straight A student and aspires to be an engineer one day.
Daniel* is 1 of 11,478 students educated this year on human trafficking prevention. He is passionate and kind and aspires to be a doctor when he grows up.
